Graduation Deadlines and Dates
Depending on when you intend to graduate, you will need to complete a series of tasks in order to apply for graduation and ensure that your diploma and commencement program information are accurate. Choose a graduation date below to determine when you need to complete these tasks.
| 10/18/2024 | Degree Applications Open – Application for graduation open to eligible students for degrees to be awarded in May. |
| 02/21/2025 | Graduation application priority deadline for Commencement Program for all Students. |
| 03/14/2025 | Commencement Program Name Changes – Deadline for all names and/or name changes to appear in the May Commencement Program. |
| 04/16/2025 | Online Application Deadline for all students for degrees to be awarded in May. |
| 05/10/2025 | Spring 2025 Degree Award Date |
| 05/10/2025 | Diploma Name Changes – Deadline for all name and/or name changes to reflect on May diplomas. *** |
| 05/10/2025 | Diploma Address – Deadline for all May degree recipients to update the home address listed in ConnectCarolina and/or make special handling arrangements (FedEx, pick-up, etc.) for diploma mailing. |
| Early August | Mailing begins for all May diplomas. |
| 03/21/2024 | August Applications Open – Applications for graduation open to eligible students for degrees to be awarded in August. |
| 07/18/2024 | Online Application Deadline for all students for degrees to be awarded in August. |
| 08/06/2024 | Diploma Name Changes – Deadline for all name and/or name changes to reflect on August diplomas. *** |
| 08/06/2024 | August 2024 Degree Award Date. |
| 08/06/2024 | Diploma Address – Deadline for all August degree recipients to update the home address listed in ConnectCarolina and/or make special handling arrangements (FedEx, pick-up, etc.) for diploma mailing. |
| Mid-September | Mailing begins for all August diplomas. |
Note: August degree candidates are invited to participate in the May or December Commencement ceremony. However, only May degree candidate names are included in the May Commencement Program; the names of August graduates are included in the December Commencement Program.

About Graduation Dates
There are three times during the year when students may complete their course of study and be eligible to receive a diploma: in May, August, and December.
Commencement ceremonies are held in May and December. August degree candidates are invited to participate in the May or December Commencement ceremony. However, only May degree candidate names are included in the May Commencement Program; the names of August graduates are included in the December Commencement Program.
